Firstly let me say thank you for taking the time to visit my website and for investing more time in finding a little more out about me, Sam Fox.
So, who am I?
I am a 30 year old guy who loves to travel and passions include coffee & photography.
I’ve been a barista for the past 11 years, I started in a small cafe in my local town and after a few years made the move to London, UK. I started off working for a cafe in the Brick Lane area, which was pretty awesome! The atmosphere in boutique, locally owned cafes in Central London is completely different to that of the large corporate chains and whilst I am not going to start slandering the big coffee chains, I admit I am not a fan.
After working in a handful of boutique cafes in Central London, learning the ropes from both a barista point of view as well as a managerial, business level I decided to take the huge leap and open my own cafe in Central London. It’s been 3 years now and I absolutely love it.
Why have I created this website?
For a handful of reasons, mainly – I have a vast amount of knowledge surrounding coffee, I’ve used a lot of machinery both commercial and consumer intended. I’ve had to go through the process of sourcing coffee beans, roasting, grinding and of course creating a menu for my customers. I’ve made a lot of mistakes and I’d like to share this experience with you.
The aim of this website is to help beginners to experts, those who enjoy coffee at home or at work, who make coffee for themselves or for customers.
With all this being said, I do hope you enjoy my website, the content that I write and in some cases the photography I provide 🙂
If you have any questions, thoughts or feedback please don’t hesitate to let me know right here.
